SOUL FOUNDATION GLOBAL
Jesus came to bring hope to the weary and dignity to the downtrodden. We want see an end to poverty, addiction, abuse and violence – a world of justice, mercy and love. The church should be at the forefront of change, addressing and not ignoring social issues in our city and across the world.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Tembaletu is a school for ‘differently abled’ children in the Western Cape of South Africa. The school was founded in 1974 and since then it’s grown to 19 classrooms, with offices, a medical bay, plus therapy rooms. It’s one of just four special needs schools in the region, so there’s great demand for places.
There are currently over 180 students enrolled at the school. Our giving has helped fund school buses to transport the children between their home and school each day, as well as providing books, equipment and new technology. While many of the children have loving families, their parents can’t always cope with the children’s needs. Others are neglected and cast aside by society – but we know that each one is a precious child of God.
