what is open home?

Open Home was designed to help pastors, leaders, and teams meet others who are walking a similar journey, as well as learn from those who are further along the road. Our heart is to create space for connection, honest conversation, and shared learning. We want to encourage your team, build meaningful relationships, and openly share both what has worked for us and what has not, so together we can grow stronger and lead healthier churches.

We’d love to invite you and your team to a free day of inspiration, connection, and practical tools to help build churches across the UK and beyond. You’ll hear from Ps Jon and Chantel, join breakout sessions designed to strengthen your team. It’s all happening at SOUL Church, Heartsease Lane, Norwich — and we can’t wait to see you there!

Yes - we have dedicated photo stations in the foyer where you can meet characters and take festive photos. You’ll be able to view your pictures here

Will the event be streamed or are the recordings available?

We believe the best experience of open home is in person, for the personal connection and practical application. Session recordings will not be made available, and the event will not be streamed online.

Is there childcare provided?

Childcare is not provided at Open home

Will food be provided?

Yes, breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Please do make us aware of any dietary requirements when you register for Open Home.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive anytime between 50 minutes and, at the latest, 20 minutes before the show to park, check in and enjoy the Pre-Show atmosphere. The pre-show begins 15 minutes before the main performance. After this, seating cannot be guaranteed.

Is there SEND provision?

We have a small SEND room available during The Wonder, with the show streamed on a screen inside the room. You’re very welcome to use this space at any point during your visit, but please note that a parent or guardian must stay with their child at all times.

If you’d like to use the SEND room, simply speak to one of our team and they’ll be happy to guide you there.

How do I cancel my tickets?

If you need to cancel your tickets, simply open your booking confirmation and set up an account. From there, you can manage your booking. If you are unable to do this, please email our team at wonderinfo@soulchurch.com.

Can I bring drinks and food into the auditorium?

We ask that you only bring in drinks with a lid and only food and drinks purchased at our onsite cafe.

What do I do with my pram?

We’re sorry but because we’re tight for space, you won’t be able to bring your buggy or pram into the auditorium. We have a dedicated area within the building where you can leave it, but please note this isn’t supervised, so you do leave it at your own risk.

Is there a cafe?

Yes! Our SOUL Café serves a range of festive drinks, snacks, and light bites before and after the show.
Card, cash and contactless payments are accepted.

Is there parking onsite?

Free on-site and overflow parking are available, and stewards will direct you on arrival. Accessible drop-off and Blue Badge parking are located close to the entrance.

What to wear? Is the building warm?

Whatever you're comfortable in! With so many people, it can get a bit warm, so layers are always a good idea, but there's no dress code. Some people prefer to come in their jeans or joggers, while others like to dress more smartly. It really doesn't matter - we want you to feel relaxed and at home.

What happens if I’m running late?

Entry cannot be guaranteed once the pre-show has commenced (15 minutes before the main show). If seats become available after the opening moments, our team will guide you in as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Can I take photos or videos during the show?

Personal photos are welcome, but please avoid flash so everyone can enjoy the performance.

Is there wheelchair or accessibility access?

Yes, we also have accessible parking available close to the building and the building is wheelchair friendly.

Is there a baby-changing area or feeding room?

A Parent & Baby Room is available for feeding, and there are baby-changing facilities on site.

Does Church offer SEND provision?

We are passionate about making church accessible to everyone and sharing the gospel with people, regardless of their needs. For children and young people with additional needs and disabilities we offer support in Soul Kids and Soul Youth. For those with higher support needs, we have a programme running in the 11:30am service in our SEND room, specifically designed to minister to those aged 3-17 who may not be able to access other areas of church. What will happen my first time?

When you turn into Heartsease Lane, our friendly Arrivals Team will show you to a suitable parking space (Blue badge parking available). When you come in to SOUL Church, you'll see our cafe and a central atrium where people can hang out and chat. From here, you can check your kids in to their age groups and come into the main auditorium for the service. Our Host Team will be waiting to show you to your seat. Our services usually last around 90 minutes, and include worship, prayer and a message. We have a family room for those with babies and toddlers and a private breastfeeding area. You'll be able to watch the service on screen from these rooms, so you won't miss anything.

What do you offer for family?

We cater for all ages here. If you have a baby in a pram, we have an area of seating where we can take a number of buggies and prams. It's close to our breastfeeding room. We also have two family rooms, so if you need to pop out with your little one, there's a place where they can play and you can feed them and change nappies. Our kids programme runs throughout the service for those aged 3-11. You'll need to register your child, which takes a few minutes, so please arrive a few minutes early if you can. We also have a youth programme that usually runs at the 9am and 11:30am services for high school ages. SOUL Youth also runs on Friday nights during term time, from 7-9pm.
